This time I will give tips on turning off a computer that uses Windows as its operating system in several ways which I will explain below but before that, let us first know the benefits of turning off or restarting your computer.
Surely you have experienced problems with computer performance that is running slowly and your friends or other people who know or understand computer problems will advise you to turn it off for a while and then turn it back on or restart your computer or laptop.
it is true that restarting can be the easiest and earliest way to repair or solve problems experienced by computers, due to the fact that using the computer continues without restarting or turning it off, it increases the possibility that the computer has problems, especially for windows operating systems.
By restarting or shutting down a computer that is starting to experience problems such as running slowly or its performance decreasing after being used for a long time. Restarting can restore computer performance because in the restart process, various applications will be forced to stop and memory space will be freed from temporary files generated by various software.
That's why I wrote this tutorial to make it easier for you to restart or turn off the computer when the computer is having problems caused by excessive use as I described above running slowly or the program (software) crashes which causes the computer to not respond.
After reading this tutorial, you will know and be able to restart or shutdown in various ways to deal with the problems above so that you don't need to immediately turn off the computer which will cause problems on the hard drive.
There will be two major sections that are used to access the system, the first restart or shutdown using functions (features) or Windows default applications, the second using shortcuts.
Fitur
- 1.Start menu
We start from the first way, of course using the start menu
As shown above, we can access the start menu by clicking the windows logo at the bottom left (box1) or using the windows shortcut on the keyboard, then several options will appear here, we click the power icon (box2), then you choose to use the restart option (box3) or shutdown(box4).
- 2.Windows RUN
The next way is to use windows run, windows run can be accessed by typing run in the start menu or the shortcut Win + R
after the run appears (box1) as shown above then we type shutdown / r (box2) to restart or shutdown / s to turn off the computer.
- 3. CMD
Next we will use CMD or Command Prompt, like the method above CMD can be accessed via the start menu or windows run, we only need to type CMD in both ways then press enter CMD will open immediately, once it opens as shown below (box1)
We just need to write the same command as above that is shutdown/s(box2) to restart or shutdown/r to shut down the computer

- 5.WinX
WinX is a call from the next method that we will do because Microsoft itself did not provide a name for this feature, this feature can be accessed with the shortcut Win + X because that's how it is called WinX.
If we have clicked Win + X, there will be options that appear as shown above (box1). Apart from using the WinX shortcut, it can also be accessed by right clicking on the Windows start icon at the bottom left. After the options appear, you only need to select shutdown or sign out (box2) the restart or shutdown option will appear (box3)
- 6.Shutdown windows
Next we will use a special window that regulates the shutdown, restart or sleep of the computer by accessing it via the Alt + F4 shortcut after being clicked a new window will appear as shown below
This is where there will be options that can be accessed via the existing dropdown menu (box1), once selected, you then click OK (box2).
- 7.Windows Security(Security Keys)
The last way is to use the CTRL + ALT + DEL shortcut maybe some of you already know what this shortcut is for because it can be called if our computer hangs or freezes and calls the task manager and stops the problematic software or application.
In addition to the task manager you can also access power, such as the login screen if we click this shortcut a new window will appear which is separate from the desktop as shown below
