On this occasion I will give a tutorial on how to add or pin our favorite websites such as YouTube, Facebook, etc. to the taskbar which will make it easier for us to access it again using an intermediary browser
I will give a tutorial this time using 2 well-known browsers that is Microsoft Edge which is a browser from Microsoft and Google Chrome.
- Microsoft edge
Alright, let's start with the first one, which is to add a favorite website using the Microsoft Edge browser, starting from opening the Microsoft Edge application and typing or accessing the website we want (box1)
After the desired website has been accessed, then we click the three dots (box2) at the top right to open the options (box3) in this option we look for the pin to taskbar (box4) which is usually there if we click more tools (box5) as shown above
Then a pop up will appear confirming that this website will be pinned on the taskbar, you just need to click OK (box1) the website will appear on the taskbar (box2) as shown below.
Alright, the website pin process on the taskbar is complete, if you want to remove the pin you just need to right click and select unpin(box3).
Google chrome
next how to pin a website to the taskbar using the google chrome browser, for google chrome the method will be the same but the result will be slightly different. We start by opening and then accessing the website we want, just like on Microsoft Edge
After the website is accessed, we click the three dots (box1) in the upper right then we look for more tools (box2), here there will only be a shortcut creation option (box3), here is the difference from using Microsoft Edge.
After clicking the shortcut creation option, a pop up will appear confirming it's the same as in Microsoft Edge, we click OK then the shortcut will be created immediately (box1).
to make it accessible on the taskbar we just need to drag and drop it to the taskbar, the shortcut will automatically pin to the taskbar (box2) as shown above. You can delete the first shortcut you created.
Alright, that's it for this tutorial, hopefully it's useful.
One more thing, if you use a feature that keeps website data even though the browser is turned off, you should just turn it off or close all tabs because if you access it from a pin on the taskbar, the website will automatically create a new tab.
If you have any questions please ask below, thank you.
